Hospice by the Sea selects Dynamics GP for financial management and integration to McKesson, replacing Sage MAS90.
Microsoft Dynamics GP
Not-for-Profit Healthcare
Hospice by the Sea is a community-based, not-for profit organization that cares for patients living with a life-limiting illness. The organization was incorporated in 1981 and they became the second hospice organization to be licensed in Florida. Their main goal is to help patients live life comfortably and to the fullest for as long as they live.
Hospice by the Sea’s existing infrastructure included a legacy accounting system, and completely separate clinical solution from McKesson HBOC. Their search started by attending a Business Intelligence event hosted by Microsoft in the spring of 2008. Seth Hirsch, IT Director, was dissatisfied that Sage had promised an integration to their MiSys clinical billing package for several years and had never come through. They knew that other hospices in the US had implemented Dynamics GP successfully and wanted a partner that understood both the not-for-profit vertical and platform integration and could provide an integration to their new McKesson solution.
InterDyn – CFO Consulting, a Gold Certified Microsoft Business Solutions partner was extremely responsive to Hospice’s needs, working through a temporary CFO until a full time replacement could be found and providing a reference from their existing customer, Hospice of Lake & Sumter.
The combination of the strength and reputation of Microsoft Dynamics together with the sales and delivery capabilities of InterDyn – CFO Consulting resulted in successful selection of Dynamics GP.
InterDyn – CFO is currently assisting Hospice by the Sea with the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics GP. The solution will be implemented at Hospice’s primary facility in Boca Raton, FL. The key processes that will be supported are the Financial Management series, Business Intelligence and integrations.
Implementing Microsoft Dynamics GP with a goal of integrating the two databases – finance and clinical will have benefits of greater control, decreased maintenance costs and economies of scale, as well as adding additional efficiencies & business intelligence.
